Hello, September

September is here and with it comes the end of summer and the beginning of my second year living in Norway. Here are the things that I am most excited for this month…

8 September: The premiere of Les Misérables at Folketeateret in Oslo

Ever since I first visited Folketeateret last year to see Scenekvelder’s production of Singin’ in the Rain, I have longed to return. This year, I am proud to be a part of Scenekvelder‘s upcoming production of Les Misérables. It has been an amazing experience to work with such a talented cast and crew, so I hope I get to be a part of more productions in the future! If you have not bought tickets yet (or just want to see it twice!), you can enter to win 2 tickets to the premiere here 🙂

17 September: Reason For Beauty turns 1

Reason For Beauty 2016

From the beginning, Reason For Beauty has striven to be “a source of inspiration to anyone who seeks beauty in the world”. Over the last year, I am proud to say that the blog has grown substantially in content, quality, and consistency. Thank you, dear reader, for your enduring support! I hope you will continue to journey with me as Reason For Beauty progressively develops 🙂

20 September: Opening concert of Ung i Aulaen with Christian Grøvlen

While it is definitely a great experience to see established artists perform, it is also nice to attend concerts featuring rising talents. Ung i Aulaen is a series of concerts that aim to feature promising young artists in Norway. This month, the 2017-2018 season features pianist Christian Grøvlen playing pieces from Ludwig van Beethoven, Edvard Grieg, and Antonin Dvořák. I have had the pleasure of seeing him play in Sandefjord and greatly look forward to do so again! You can see the full programme and purchase tickets here.

What are you most excited for this month? Let me know in the comments below! 😉
